When a love for fishing met a love for creating.

 

Out of Jacksonville, Florida, Atlantic Art produces high quality fish prints obtained through a process called Gyotaku. Gyotaku (pronounced Gee-oh-tak-oo) originated in the mid-1800s in Japan, where fishermen sought to record their catches. All of our designs are captured and memorialized organically. Our technique not only captures every detail of the fish, but uses a naturally occurring, non-invasive ink to preserve the catch and avoid fouling of the meat. All fish used in this art are captured through sustainable methods and eaten by our family with love.
